Illamasqua NEW Naked Strangers Collection- Nail Varnish Swatch in Shade ‘Faithful’…
Illamasqua is launching a NEW exciting collection called ‘Naked Strangers’ available from Wednesday 23rd May on Illamsqua.com exclusively for registered members and available from 31st May 2012 Nationwide. The new shades include nude tones with rich licks of gold. The above picture is one of the NEW collections images created by Alex Box herself! I just love gold leaf lately, and Alex captures the inner glows and depth in this make-up look for the ‘Naked Strangers Collection’.
Today’s post I will be focusing on the NEW nail varnish from the collection ‘Faithful’ £13.50 then keep an eye for another post on the make-up products from the collection.
Faithful is a coppered metal shade packed with gold micro-flecks. It has a similar finish as Knotty from Anchors Away except the base warmer and more opaque and the flecks are gold instead of silver. It’s a great twist on your average neutral varnish which is on trend this season. I was honestly expecting this one to be pretty sheer so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it gives great coverage.
Other shades from the range are- ‘Monogamous’ (Creamy Flesh Pink), and ‘Swinger’ (Glistening Platinum Gold).

How To Create Easy Leopard Print Nails!
Leopard print nails are enduringly popular - everyone seems to love them whether they are in natural animal shades or bright neons! Here I have created baby pink Leopard print nails!
You will need:
*Two different colours of nail varnish
*Black liquid eyeliner or black nail art pen
Firstly, prepare your nail as per your usual manicure with your first polish colour and wait until dry.
Step 1 - using your second polish colour, dab on small spots. Make sure you don’t load your brush with too much polish as you want the spots to be flat - you also want them to be random shapes, not perfectly round!
Step 2 - when your spots have dried, use your black eyeliner or nail art pen to create a line of colour on two opposite sides of the spots. Don’t overload your brush, just use a tiny bit of colour to highlight the spots - your not outlining it, just creating that characteristic leopard dappling!

Another Behind The Scene Image From Yesterdays ‘Colour Run’ Lip Shoot…
I wanted to share one more image from a photo-shoot I did yesterday! The shoot was close up lip shots inspired by ‘Colour Run’ with over four different lip makeup looks.
I just love the contrasting colours I picked here! Keep an eye out for the whole Lip Series including some surprise lip looks I created not seen by anyone yet. Once finished and edited I will upload with details of products I used to create the looks!
