Christmas came early! And this time it was from Illamasqua…
I’m not dreaming of a white Christmas! … Well that’s what Illamasqua are saying for their new Christmas collection! I was so excited to get an early Christmas treat from Illamasqua today and to get my hands on a Christmas present- One of Illamsqua’s First ever NEW Powder Blush Duo compacts in shade Hussy and Lover- £34.
There are two matte shades in this compact with a mirror which are very highly pigmented after one swatch, they are fantastic for adding colour, brightening and enhancing the skin and of course contouring. I absolutely love this idea from Illamasqua as I always use at least two blusher shades or more when applying blusher to add depth, dimension and shape to my models face, so to have this in one compact is ideal and should be available in many more shades to suit all skin tones in the future!
Here are some of my tips when using Illamasqua’s Blusher Duo Compact:
*If your Illamasqua blush appears streaky, it means you might have used too much moisturiser under the foundation. Applying a bit of powder over your foundation will solve this beauty faux pas.
*Always use two shades of blush so this compact is perfect that blend well together. And complement each other. Apply the softer shade right below the cheekbones, then the brighter shade on the apple of the cheeks. Blend and blend.
*Try to choose blush colour that doesn’t clash with your lipstick colour and eye makeup. Pink blush is usually a good choice as it goes with most makeup colours. If you have a dark skin tone, however, pink might seem too light on you, so choose red instead.
*To create the most natural-looking glow, pick the blush colour similar to that of your cheeks when flushed after exercising.
*If your blush comes out too flat, dab a tiny bit of balm or cream blush on top of it to add a little glow and dimension.
Illamasqua also have many other NEW items such as the NEW lip palette, single lipstick lip brush with cover, lip twin set and nail duo set! Which are all perfect for Christmas presents! Last year my sister got me a lip duo set which I loved, so I am hoping some more Illamasqua goodies are under the Christmas tree for me this year!
So for now…. A Happy Early ‘Illamasqua’ Christmas!
