Inspiration behind The Chocolate & Oranges Shoot

A personal project which involves creating make-up & hair looks inspired by different types of foods.  This is a year long project which will result in an exhibition in March 2012 with Photographer Rich Hinton and myself. I have already uploaded the Strawberries & Cream Shoot we did. Now here is The Chocolate & Orange Shoot we did last month.

 The chocolate & orange shoot was a chance for me to bring chocolate into a make-up & hair design using rich dark chocolate colours complemented with bright orange colours. Chocolate is one of the most popular and yummiest types of foods and will likely stay at the top of most people’s favourite food list.

I knew this would be a strong make-up & hair look which would catch people’s attention, with a great choice of colours and textures I could use from real chocolates and real oranges. I was really happy with the choice of concept, using browns and oranges as they go together really well, the real oranges and orange peel I used in the hair and eyebrows made the rest of the make-up POP and come together.  

I am also very proud to say that The Strawberries & Cream Shoot & The Chocolate & Orange Shoot will be published in the summer in the UK’s Leading Make-up Artist Magazine- FaceOn :) It will have the complete Step-By-Step Make-up guide on how I created the looks.
