Eye Kandy is a brand new company that sells glitter and mineral cosmetics, and one thing that got me excited was their liquid adhesive base, ‘Liquid Sugar’.
The Liquid glitter is designed to hold glitter, mineral and loose powders on all day and giving the illusion of a second skin glitter effect. They have over 85 glitter and mineral shadows in the range.
How to use Liquid Sugar:
*Liquid Sugar is a water based sealer that bonds glitter, metallic’s and loose powders to your eyelids, lips or any other skin surface. This product is safe for sensitive skin and contact lenses.
*Gently squeeze a small amount of liquid into lid or a makeup palette. Dip your brush into the Liquid Sugar apply over the surrounding skin area and start layer the glitter on the liquid this will then take 30-60 seconds to air dry depending on how thickly it is applied and washes off easily with soap and water.
Above is the starter kit from their range which I have loved reviewing, and I am so impressed with the liquid sugar especially when creating different lip looks with pigments. Eye Kandy Cosmetics have kindly gave my followers 30% off any orders on everything when they shop online to www.eyekandycosmetics.co.uk (UK only) . Enter the code PROF30 at checkout.

My Tips & Tricks To Get Glitter Eye Makeup This Season…
At the Dior Spring/Summer Haute Couture show, John Galliano sent out a bevy of brightly dressed, models-as-society-beauties; all with eyes that were loaded with glitter. Glitter on the eyes is nothing new, but for the party season you just have to go wild in my opinion! So any big nights from now to New Year is a chance for you to experiment with different coloured glitter – iridescent green and bright gold are hot right now, but bronze is a good starter colour.
I have some easy application tips for glitter…
1.First advice do not do your base makeup first. Start with eyes… As it will get messy!
2. So that your eyes will stand out in the mass of glitter, use a black or dark brown eyeliner. As a base smudging in with your finger. Take this right into the crease area, Try Vivo’s eye liner pencil in black, £1.50 it’s my favourite eye pencil at the moment as it’s so creamy and pigmented!
3.Dab some vaseline where you want to apply the glitter – so all over eyelids.
4. Using an eye-shadow brush, apply the glitter on the eyelids. Press the brush against the centre of the lid. Use firm, short strokes to spread the flecks across your eyelid, working from the centre to the outer corner of the eye, then from the inner corner back to the centre.
5.For an avant-garde vibe, take the glitter right out to the top of the cheekbones, in a winged look. It should almost appear as though you’ve been crying glitter. Add more vaseline first if you need it.
6.Remove any of that unwanted glitter and start applying your base makeup as normal.
You can just play with glitter all the time so do experiment as remember makeup and glitter can just be removed! So dont be afraid! It’s going to be a messy glitter ball… Have fun :)
