Karla Face Chart Tutorial
Due to an overwhelming response from my ever-growing cult following, I have expanded my creative make-up design line with an All-in-One version of my celebrated debut product: Karla Face Charts! Following an exclusive, sell-out launch at IMATS in July, these new formats are now available to purchase online in the next week.
Housed in the same sketchbook-style pad as their original counterpart, and printed on the same 200gsm textured card stock, the new all-in-one format features close-up prints for eyes and lips, allowing for incredibly detailed designing. The sheets are compatible with all cosmetic pigments and products- even wet glosses. The cover of each all-in-one pad depicts Powell’s incredible Pop Art creation- a work of cosmetic art so detailed- its creation still causes debate across the beauty blogosphere.
The talented Sherrie Sparkes who is a big fan of Karla Charts has kindly collaborated and demonstrated at tutorial into how to us her NEW All-in-One Karla Chart using cosmetics from POM Ltd. Click play above to learn lots of Face Chart tutorial tips.
The first Karla Charts released can be purchased from www.beautychamber.co.uk (Shipping Worldwide) OR www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk (Shipping in Europe)

This week I had the pleasure to host an Illamasqua event alongside make-up artist Patrick Baston at Illamasqua’s Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square counter where I demonstrated an Avant Garde’ look VS Paddy’s look ‘Ready to Wear’ look using Illamasqua products in similar colours. We went for red and black tones! After all Halloween will soon be here and I couldn’t wait to start designing looks based around Halloween themes. The inspiration of my above look came from popular Vampire stories and I decided to name my model ‘Selene’. She is the moon goddess who technically isn’t a vampire, she is considered by legend to be the mother of all modern vampires. It’s her beautiful Ombre Vampire Kiss that turns her victims into vampires.
A huge thanks to Illamasqua and Paddy for inviting me along to take part in this evening and to everyone involved in making this event amazing, including my followers who attended and supported me.

Your wedding day is the time to be in the spotlight, so don’t let your make-up overwhelm your natural beauty. But if you want a bit of oomph, a matte blue red lip is gorgeous for a fall or summer wedding.
Wedding make-up is something I don’t normally carry out however for family & friends I get such pleasure making them feel & look wonderful for their big day. Jemma has been my lip model for many years now so I felt honoured to be asked to do her wedding make-up! I couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to pull of the matte vintage red lip on their wedding day.

When I think back to IMATS London last weekend I am still lost for words and so overwhelmed by all the support from everyone.
I thank each and every one of you that came and visited me on the Temptu stand where I was demonstrating the first look from my new ‘Human Emotion’ Series. The series will be based on creative looks inspired by different emotions we as people encounter. The look I demonstrated at IMATS is the ‘Envy’ emotion, which has took many months of planning & preparation and hard work from my amazing team! I can’t wait to create the look again for professional images to add to my portfolio.
I also want to thank my followers who came to my presentation on the Sunday. I thought I would never have the chance to appear as a speaker at IMATS, so to be asked this year I felt so honoured. I also overcame my fear of being on stage that day (I was a nervous wreck!). However, after seeing many familiar faces and having such amazing support I soon forgot about the nerves and it was the best feeling in the world having the chance to share my tips, tricks and experiences.
I love make up so much so its such a privilege to be able to work and demonstrate there surrounded by such talent and inspirational people. IMATS 2014 weekend was incredible and I love going as an make-up artist and a fan! My only issue is the weekend goes way too fast, roll on next year! The dream now is to attend all the IMATS around the world!
How was IMATS 2014 for you?
Many thanks to:

My NEW Karla Cosmetics Lip brush Set!
Inspired by my personal frustration with the lack of correctly-shaped lip brushes on the market, My Lip Brush Set is a collection of three synthetic lip brushes designed specially for professional creative work with glosses, pigments, creams and stains.
The brushes are set in a hand-formed matte wooden handle with silver metal ferrule, emblazoned with Karla’s silver logo and coding.
The set arrives encased in a Karla-branded pink and black case. Each brush is created with vegan-friendly, 100% synthetic Taklon fibre, chosen for its unrivalled superiority when working with both wet and dry cosmetic formulas. These brushes are also really useful for creating perfect brows, precision gel eyeliner and more defined lines when creating make-up looks on the face.
KL1: The Filling Brush. A traditional lip brush with a rounded tip and firm point, designed to enable even application of all lip products, with precision focus for rapidly filling the lips. The bevelled shape allows for accurate lining of the lips without compromising on coverage.
KL2: The Precision Brush. A softer, more absorbent brush which produces an even, thin and perfectly straight line when defining the lips; eliminating the need for a lip pencil. The flat angle is designed to line the lips before filling with the KL1 brush.
KL3: The Cupid ’s bow Brush. This sharply-angled brush works to neatly trace the Cupid ’s bow, defining the lip shape and creating a fuller pout, whilst preventing product from bleeding onto the skin.
Caring for your Karla Lip Brushes:
Synthetic cosmetic brushes should always be cleaned every-other day, as use with wet products can create bacteria build-up. Any alcohol-based brush cleaner will break down grease residue in lip products. Always wash immediately after using a highly-pigmented product. Take care not to soak the brush handles, and to keep the ferrule dry.

Make-up Atelier Paris Florescent Pigments!
These are intensely rich vibrant matte powders in the finest pure pigment, available in eight neon shades (£15.50 each).
One of the most exciting things about these powders is the fact they are UV responsive which all shades will react and glow with black UV light! Great for a night event where there UV lights or maybe a UV photo-shoot?
The florescent pigment
can be applied wet or dry to the skin using a synthetic brush and look great for neon lip looks or neon eye looks. They also look amazing on the cheeks for a daring creative look! The pure pigment powder may stain the skin so I do suggest using base foundation or primer to protect the skin.
