Glamour Summer Nails…
With the sun starting to shine in England I finally believe we might have a nice summer and what better way to celebrate that by adding a sparkly glam look to my nails with some of my favourite nail varnishes in my collection using Illamasqua’s ‘Harem’ from The Broken Heart collection and Models Own NEW Artstix Duo polish using the glitter section from the duo polish in shade ‘Blizzard’.
I applied Harem to the base of the nails which is a very blue-based pink crème. Like a bubble-gum pink with a twist with lavender-tone when applied it’s neither too thick nor too thin, and flows over the nail easily.
This is a real fun combination and would be perfect on both the fingers and toes in summer, but instead of applying ‘Blizzard’ over the entire nail base colour I decided to try out applying it to just the tips. You only need one coat, meaning this was a super quick manicure. Just really girly, summery and glam!
Hope you are inspired.

Abandoned Fashion Series Nail Art!
I love getting creative and designing and making everything on photo-shoots- From making nails, hair pieces, accessories and practicing the make-up looks. I love the role of doing everything to be honest , I do think this is because I like full control on all areas of the total look once it’s all visualised in my head and sketched down.
I designed and created these False Nails for Luke Woodford’s Abandoned Series Project which is taking place in Belgium this weekend. I was inspired by the location and the garments we will be working with which are amazingly stunning! (These can not be revealed until the images are released)
Here is a short list of some of the items I used to create these nails:
Beauties Factory UK: Long Salon False Nails
Face-Lace : Mehndoodle Design 1
NCLA : Melody Ehsani ‘It Don’t Matter’ Wraps
KIKO: Ready-to-go Patch Nail Lacquer
Stargazer: Sexy Eyes Temporary Eye Tattoo
Illamasqua: Precision Ink in Scribe
I can’t wait for Belgium now!

NEW Illamasqua Easter Nail Varnishes!
With spring on its way Illamasqua introduced a NEW Collection ‘I’m perfection’ Spring/Summer range over a month ago and one of the best things in the collection was their speckled nail polishes which I love and blogged about not long ago. Today however I had a little surprise in the post! It’s their two new addition shades to their Easter Spring/Sumer nail polish ranges- and what better way to do it in hot pink and pastel purple!

Superstition- £13.50 (Online Soon)
Superstition is a bright blue-toned purple pink polish- The brightness of this shade makes it works perfectly on yellow-toned skin. This polish pretty much goes on opaque in two coats. I am bringing summer to this miserable weather wearing this! I just love it…
Harem- £13.50 (Online Soon)
Harem is a gorgeous pastel purple shade, veering slightly to the pink side yet still bright enough to not quite sit at home amongst pastels. It does have a touch of dustiness to it too. I have mixed both shades together on my accent nail as the complement each other so much.

I have mixed up the NEW Illamasqua nail varnishes mixed with NCLA’s Nail wraps in style ‘So L.A. Nail wraps are a great idea in theory, since they make it possible for everyone to achieve eye-catching designs or effects with a minimum of mess, and effort. They’re perfect for a last minute fix or for DIYing showstopper nails on the go. These were from www.cutecosmetics.co.uk and the wraps range from £12.50.

Will you be purchasing the NEW Illamasqua shades when available online?

Alexander Wang Fall 2013 Sandstone Nail Art – NYFW
For The Alexander Wang fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week CND nail art pros created a sandstone nail design with a natural, eroded fee, as though they’ve been worn over time.
Using CND “Impossibly Plush” which was feathered with a fan brush from the sides toward the centre, sealed with CND Speedey Top Coat and then the shine was buffed with a CND Glossing Buffer.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Blood Orange
Barry M has launched new nail paints called Gelly Hi-Shine. They retail at £3.99 each, £1 more expensive than their normal “nail paints”, and there are 9 shades in total in fact I wanted shade Blueberry but it was sold out so I brought this shade instead- Blood Orange which is my idea of a perfect red, it is bright, bold and timeless!
So what’s the hype? Basically they replicate the glossy high finish of gel manicures. They are supposed to be 1 coaters, and there is no need for a top coat to make them have a high shine finish.
These polishes are very easy to apply with great narrow brushes, on the whole the formula is fault free and does not streak nor does it dry patchy- this shade did have a good coverage in two coats but in some lights you can see my natural nails so make sure you apply three coats.
I want them all now…

I love creating nail art for all my photoshoots!
I hand made the nails prior to the photoshoot with acrylic false nails adding textured glitter, pigments and micro beads! Then using ultra adhesive tabs (easy to remove after the shoot) I secured the false nails on the model adding more glitter and mirco beads in order to blend the nails into the models natural nails.
It was the perfect look for my Snow Queen of Sweets photoshoot. It reminded me of baby snow on my models finger nails!
