Behind the scenes at today’s Gold Water photoshoot!

I had so much fun getting creative with makeup & bodypainting ! I also had the chance to use these Gold Fleck nails I made ages ago that I didn’t get chance to use them a while back. They actually inspired my whole look today!

Working with photographer Luke Woodford we created a gold water look in an abandoned lake! It was messy and so much fun.

Can’t wait to show you professional behind that scene pictures & the final images coming soon!

Hand Made False Nails! ‘Broken Glass’ Inspired.

I love to make everything now for my shoots if I have the time to do so. I had so much getting creative with the false nails using real broken mirrors, hand painted texture as the base & adding large glitter pieces for the final reflective effect.

This is for a Lip Art photoshoot I have this Saturday to match my Broken Glass Lips!

Can’t wait to show you this series of images once released.

Make-up Test for Paris- Look 1.

I will be also going to Paris this weekend to create make-up for a designers new upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 look book with Luke Woodford being the photographer. Without revealing too much about the collection and designer I am just showing you a sneaky make-up test of the make-up look I will be creating out there, using my false lashes & nails I made. I won’t be able to reveal behind the scene images of the shoot till the collection is available to buy unfortunately.

Do keep a look out though for when the collection is out! And then I can reveal more about this make-up look including how I created the look.

Preparation for IMATS London

I’ve attended the three-day beauty-packed event since training to be a make-up artist and I’ve yet to be disappointed, one of the most exciting things for me and has always been a dream is to work at IMATS and to have the chance to demonstrate my make-up skills there. So this year at IMATS it’s very important year for me where I finally have the chance to meet and greet my followers and to demonstrate two of my popular make-up looks I have recently created- Snow Queen of Sweets and Pop Art Inspired Make-up on the Saturday and Sunday on the CrownbrushUK stand using my favourite Crownbrushes to create these looks of course! I have been spending the last few weeks preparing the looks for my demonstration and finally I am ready! (I think) I am so looking forward to seeing so many amazing talented make-up artists there as well as shopping at some of my favourite brands. I have listed below some brands/products to look out for this weekend:

Crown Brush U.K.

By far the biggest and most packed out stand at IMATS for sure! You can come and see me demonstrate make-up looks Saturday and Sunday on the stand you where you will also have the chance to see our online store right in front of your eyes. Over 50,000 brushes have been packed up to be precise for IMATS! My all-time favourite brush set from Crownbrush is the 613 HD 7 Piece set! I mean if you want flawless make-up application this is you’re to go to palette. I will be using it all weekend!

Bobbi Brown Pro

A chance to become a Bobbi Brown pro and discuss this with the team about this at IMATS. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics like other cosmetics brands such as M·A·C (M·A·C Pro Membership) and Make Up For Ever (Backstage Card) produce a pro line of products that cater towards industry make-up artists, this brand started Bobbi Brown Pro Membership Program in 2011.

It’s also a chance to check out the Bobbi Brown Pro Make-up Artist Palettes, such as the BBU Palette for the Face (Concealers, Correctors & Foundations) and Lips palette! Both over £100 but will last you forever!

Charles Fox – Kryolan

Charles Fox shop is still not available to order online, therefore you always need to order over the phone or take a trip to Charles Fox in Covent Garden. Also finding all the full Kryolan range can be difficult to buy and see, so a chance to go to this store at IMATS is bliss! Most of my make-up kit consists of Kryolan products. In fact I am lost without my Shimmering Vision palette from Kryolan and use it on all my make-up jobs so it’s worth investing money into that palette if you are not sure what to buy there.

 Eye Kandy Cosmetics

I recently blogged about this brand. Eye Kandy is a brand new company that sells glitter and mineral cosmetics, and one thing that got me excited was their liquid adhesive base, ‘Liquid Sugar’. I love it! So if you get chance pop along to the stand to purchase a bottle. The Liquid glitter is designed to hold glitter, mineral and loose powders on all day and giving the illusion of a second skin glitter effect. They have over 85 glitter and mineral shadows in the range.

Face Lace

I don’t know any make-up artists that doesn’t know about Face Lace!  The quirky ready-to-wear make-up designs are a MUA-on-the-go’s beauty dream, with fifteen intricate designs that can be applied in under a minute and are re-usable. If you consider yourself an adventurous beauty addict that is seeking the next exciting fashion thrill, then you are sharing the vision of founder, make-up artist Phyllis Cohen. You wait till you see all her designs. You will want them all!

Love Make Up

UK official stockists of Makeup Atelier Paris, Embryolisse, OCC Makeup Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Everyday Minerals, Kett Cosmetics, Japonesque, NYX cosmetics and more. The main reason I am saying to check out this brand is because they are selling Lime Crime make-up this weekend! One of my top 10 brands I love in my kit. If they have the Velvetines I would buy loads! Red velvet is my go-to red lipstick and would be lost without it. By the way this stuff is gold dust so probably sell out by Saturday morning.

Other Brands you must go check out I love to use…

*Inglot

*M•A•C Cosmetics

*NARS

*NYX Cosmetics UK

This Saturday I will be doing my Pop Art Demonstration 9-4pm. and Sunday My Snow Queen of Sweets Demonstration 10-3pm.

I can’t wait to meet you all!

Glamour Summer Nails…

With the sun starting to shine in England I finally believe we might have a nice summer and what better way to celebrate that by adding a sparkly glam look to my nails with some of my favourite nail varnishes in my collection using Illamasqua’s ‘Harem’ from The Broken Heart collection and Models Own NEW Artstix Duo polish using the glitter section from the duo polish in shade ‘Blizzard’.

I applied Harem to the base of the nails which is a very blue-based pink crème.  Like a bubble-gum pink with a twist with lavender-tone when applied it’s neither too thick nor too thin, and flows over the nail easily.

This is a real fun combination and would be perfect on both the fingers and toes in summer, but instead of applying ‘Blizzard’ over the entire nail base colour I decided to try out applying it to just the tips. You only need one coat, meaning this was a super quick manicure. Just really girly, summery and glam!

Hope you are inspired.

NEW! Models Own Artistix Duo Polish

Models own have released their amazing NEW Artistic collection.  And the NEW “Artistic Duos” polishes are everything I love to have in my nail collection – bright, fun, girly and glittery!  They have coordinating 8 of their best selling base coats with 8 of their best selling top coats retailing for £6 sold on www.modelsownit.com or at Boots stores nationwide April 17th 2013.

The shades they have in the range:

*Snow Mix (Snow White and Ibiza Mix)

*Pink Stuff (Pastel Pink and Hot Stuff)

*Jade Flakes (Jade Stone and Snowflakes)

*Freak Betty (Freak Out and Betty Blue)

*Utopia Ocean (Utopia and Indian Ocean)

*Boogie Dream (Boogie Nights and Lilac Dream)

*Blibble (Blizzard and Bubblegum)

*Nude Jack (Jack Frost and Nude Beige)

How do they work?

Begin with the ‘Paint It’ colour base and apply to all fingernails. Let this fully dry then switch to ‘Cover it’ to add a sparkly finish to your nails. Both the shades can be worn alone and you can always mix and match the collection if you own all of them and feeling daring.

*Above I have Freak Betty Applied.

Abandoned Fashion Series Nail Art!

I love getting creative and designing and making everything on photo-shoots- From making nails, hair pieces, accessories and practicing the make-up looks. I love the role of doing everything to be honest , I do think this is because I like full control on all areas of the total look once it’s all visualised in my head and sketched down.

I designed and created these False Nails for Luke Woodford’s Abandoned Series Project which is taking place in Belgium this weekend. I was inspired by the location and the garments we will be working with which are amazingly stunning! (These can not be revealed until the images are released)

Here is a short list of some of the items I used to create these nails:

Beauties Factory UK: Long Salon False Nails

Face-Lace : Mehndoodle Design 1

NCLA : Melody Ehsani ‘It Don’t Matter’ Wraps

KIKO: Ready-to-go Patch Nail Lacquer

Stargazer: Sexy Eyes Temporary Eye Tattoo

Illamasqua: Precision Ink in Scribe

I can’t wait for Belgium now!

NEW Illamasqua Easter Nail Varnishes!

With spring on its way Illamasqua introduced a NEW Collection ‘I’m perfection’ Spring/Summer range over a month ago and one of the best things in the collection was their speckled nail polishes which I love and blogged about not long ago. Today however I had a little surprise in the post! It’s their two new addition shades to their Easter Spring/Sumer nail polish ranges- and what better way to do it in hot pink and pastel purple!

Superstition- £13.50 (Online Soon)

Superstition is a bright blue-toned purple pink polish- The brightness of this shade makes it works perfectly on yellow-toned skin. This polish pretty much goes on opaque in two coats. I am bringing summer to this miserable weather wearing this! I just love it…

Harem- £13.50 (Online Soon)

Harem is a gorgeous pastel purple shade, veering slightly to the pink side yet still bright enough to not quite sit at home amongst pastels. It does have a touch of dustiness to it too. I have mixed both shades together on my accent nail as the complement each other so much.

I have mixed up the NEW Illamasqua nail varnishes mixed with NCLA’s Nail wraps in style ‘So L.A. Nail wraps are a great idea in theory, since they make it possible for everyone to achieve eye-catching designs or effects with a minimum of mess, and effort. They’re perfect for a last minute fix or for DIYing showstopper nails on the go. These were from www.cutecosmetics.co.uk and the wraps range from £12.50.

Will you be purchasing the NEW Illamasqua shades when available online?
